My favorite book as a child was Zachary and Allison's Day at the Park. This book I made my parents read to me almost every night, until I was old enough to read myself. This book just explained the brother and sisters day from when they woke up, to when they went to the park. My mom saved this book so I can give it to my children!

My favorite children's book is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstien.

I remember my kindergarten teacher reading this book to my class in kindergarten. Ever since that day, it has always been my favorite book. It just brings me back to that time everytime I read it.

My favorite children's book is "where the Wild Things Are" by Marice Sendak. I have always liked this story ever since I was a child. I began to like it even more after writing a report on Sendak a couple of years ago.

My favorite childrens book is"Alexander and the No Good Very Bad Day." I love this book because it shows children that it is ok to have bad days; everyone has them. Bad days are nothing to get upset about, they will pass. Plus it is humerous and entertaining.

Teach Us, Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish. This book is both fun and challenging for the first grade reader. Children will laugh at the adventures Amelia goes through while being the substitute teacher for the day.

I have so many favorite children's books, it's hard to pick just one! How about The True Story of the Three Pigs by A. Wolf!

My favorite children's book growing up is actually more than one. I enjoyed Chica Chica Boom Boom because it is a great way to instill letters and colors in a fun and playful way. Next, I enjoyed Caps For Sale because I feel that it is a great way for children to learn colors and counting. This book can even lead to further interest in money and how much things are worth and cost.

My favorite book as a child was Tikki Tikki Tembo. My favorite part of the book was the refrain: Tikki tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo. As a child I just thought of this book as an entertaining and humorous story, but now I see the true meaning of the story. It is a Chinese folktale that explains why people in China give their first son long names and they give their other children short names. I still have this book and I still love it!

I can not remember my exact favorite book from when I was younger, but I know that I was a big fan of Dr.Suess. As I am trying to think of my favorite book I keep referring back to a bunch of different Dr. Suess books like One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and of course Green Eggs and Ham. I just loved the pictures in the books, the funny stories that it told and how the words were written. I'm sure kids today still enjoy his books and I know I will have some of Dr. Suess's books in my future classroom.

My favorite book growing up as child was, "Harold and the Purple Crayon." I loved reading this book with my parents. It was one of my favorite memories with them. I think it is fascinating how the author, Crockett Johnson, thought of the idea for the main character to make everything in the book with a purple crayon. It opens up the children's minds while they are reading the book. Children cherish this book for it's originality. It will definitely be in my classroom one day!

My favorite book growing up was " The Wheels on the Bus." I remember my teacher reading the story while we sang along to it. I must have read that book a billion times but I continue to love it. The pictures were a lot of fun and very colorful. I also enjoyed Dr. Seuss books. I think I might have had the whole collection. I’m sure to use the same books with my niece once she gets a little older!!!

My favorite book was "I Am a Puppy." By Ole Risom (I believe). I've always adored animals. And this story had a puppy talking about his daily activities. I loved the realistic pictures and that the puppy was alittle mischievous, chewing up shoes, etc. My parents would read that book until they were blue in the face. I even have a picture of my Dad reading it to me when I was around 3. I'm going to search the attic. I hope it's still there!

Growing up as a child my favorite book was "Alexander and the No Good Very Bad Day." This was my favorite book growing up because I remember when my parents used to read this to me before I went to bed. Everytime I had a bad day my parents would always remind me of this book and I felt better. In this book basically it was telling a story about how it was okay to have a bad day.

My favorite children's book as a child was "Go Cars Go!" I remember loving the story. As a future educator my favorite children's book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." The story is full of intellectual value for children, as I am sure you are all well aware, the book takes children on an adventure of the life of a caterpillar and their transition into a beautiful butterfly. It is a story that every classroom should pocess

My all time favorite children's book is "Chicken Soup with Rice" by Maurice Sendak. I use to read this book all the time as a child and I also watched the movie. This book helps children learn about the months of the year and I like the fact that the entire book rhymes. It's an adorable book.

My favorite kids book was I love you forever, by Robert Munsch. It's a story about a mother holding her son and singing a song to him throughout his childhood. "I'll love you forever I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living My baby you'll be." As the mother grows too old to sing the song to him, he holds her and sings it to him. Finally, the son holds his newborn baby and sings the same song to her. I remember loving the book as a child. Also I loved the pictures in the book.

My new favorite children's book series are the Diary of a ____. There is The Diary of a Worm/Spider and I think one more. They are fun and funny and require the reader to use inference which is a valuable comprehension strategy.

My favorite children's book is called "Where is Spot?"
This book is written for younger children (3-6 year olds). This book includes colorful illustrations of a puppy's adventure. He is hiding and his mother looks all over the house to find him. Each page has something hidden under flaps. Finally she finds him under a blanket. Words are simple for early readers and plot is appropriate to keep interest of all young children. Love this book!!
